About

I founded The Beer Buddha in 2008 as a platform to share stories about the New Orleans beer community. I wanted to highlight local breweries, events, and, of course, the beers themselves.

In March 2014, my passion for writing evolved into publishing a book with Acadian Press titled New Orleans Beer: A Hoppy History of Big Easy Brewing. Later that year, I accepted an opportunity in the beer industry in Daytona Beach, Florida, working with a small distributor as an on premise account manager.

That experience eventually led me to Anheuser-Busch, where I held several roles including Trade Activation Manager, Account Manager for The High End in Jacksonville, and Southeast Regional Manager for Blue Point Brewing. During this time, I also earned my Certified Cicerone designation in 2018.

In mid-2018, I made the exciting move to join Tampa Bay Brewing Company as the Central Florida Sales Manager which I held until 2024, when my wife and I decided it was time to finally return home to Louisiana. I served as the Craft Brand and THC Beverage Manager for a local wholesaler in Baton Rouge for a year and a half.

After 10 years of being away from the Louisiana beer scene and not blogging I thought not only would it be fun to start blogging again but it would be a creative outlet for me. Who I am today and my thoughts on the beer industry is vastly different than 10 years ago.

Cheers!
